Recently, we became Quantum PureAire dealers for the west coast. These air purifiers are proven to be a very successful method of deodorizing, killing rot and keeping the air in the boat dry so doors don’t swell open or shut. They will also help with flying dust particles find their way to the ground for those who are allergic or prefer a cleaner boat.

Ionizers have been very slow to catch on in the west, but have been used for many years on the east coast. Prior to getting involved with Quantum, I did some research and found that the majority of folks that had purchased a unit from the company were very satisfied with their purchase. We decided that the Quantum product line would be a very nice addition to our services.

I have now installed several of the BilgeBuster units on a varying vessels and have been impressed with the ease of install and quick effectiveness. These particular units are USCG approved and can run off of 12v DC or 110v AC with the purchase of an adapter. I calculate that the larger of the BilgeBuster line should be able to handle up to a 50′ motor yacht without too much problem.

After the initial expense ($250+), these units are fairly low maintenance and low cost. According to the manufacturers representative, running the unit 24/7 should require replacement of the $75-$85 every 2 years. We are selling the entire Quantum line at a 15% discount over what you can buy them directly from the dealer for and will install them for an additional $60. For anyone that is remotely mechanically minded, the install should not be a problem. Based on my research, I don’t believe there to be anything comparable to the Quantum product line.
